Gãy liên mấu chuyển xương đùi (LMCXĐ) hay gặp ở người cao tuổi do tình trạng loãng xương, vùng mấu chuyển trở thành điểm yếu dễ bị gãy xương, nguyên nhân hay gặp là do té ngã. Còn ở người trẻ, chất lượng xương còn tốt thường xảy ra sau một chấn thương năng lượng cao. Hiện có nhiều phương pháp điều trị, tùy theo điều kiện cơ sở, quan điểm điều trị và thể trạng người bệnh mà bác sĩ lựa chọn phương pháp điều trị thích hợp. Nghiên cứu tiến cứu mô tả loạt ca trên 35 bệnh nhân trên gãy liên mấu chuyển xương đùi được điều trị bằng phẫu thuật KHX bằng đinh GAMMA UNION tại bệnh viện Đa Khoa Vùng Tây Nguyên từ tháng 5/2021 đến tháng 10/2022. Kết quả: bệnh nhân gặp ở mọi độ tuổi từ 19 đến 97 tuổi, trong đó nữ giới chiếm tỷ lệ cao hơn (74,3%); cơ chế thường gặp do tự té ngã (77,1%); có bệnh lý nội khoa kèm theo (74,3%); trong đó loại gãy 31A2 chiếm tỷ lệ cao nhất (57%) theo phân loại của AO/OTA; kết quả phục hồi giải phẫu tốt với 97,1% bệnh nhân liền xương, 77,1% bệnh nhân có chiều dài chi về bình thường sau mổ. Thời gian nằm viện sau mổ trung bình là 3 ngày, hầu hết bệnh nhân gấp được háng >900 (94,3%), chức năng khớp háng đạt kết quả tốt và rất tốt chiếm 65,7% theo thang điểm Harris hip. Hầu hết bệnh nhân không có biến chứng sớm và muộn. Không ghi nhận trường hợp nào tử vong.
